North Stradbroke Island has some of the most spectacular scenery found in Queensland. White sandy beaches stretch into an endless horizon fringed by an aqua blue ocean & a system of freshwater lakes in the island's centre makes it a great spot to snorkel, swim, dive + fish & to experiencing the amazing sea life firsthand. Also the Point Lookout area has some of the best surfing & fishing beaches in Queensland. The crystal clear warm water on Stradbroke is home to many playful dolphins and whales that your regular out surfing with & the water temperature never drop’s below 19°C in mid winter and rises to a tropical 27°C in summer.

Ride on Tours take ‘3–7 days Adventure Tours’ up to North Stradbroke Island... a 3hr drive north of the Gold Coast on Mondays returning back to Surfers Paradise on Wednesdays. All equipment is supplied for your daily surf lesson with safe soft ‘fun boards’, sun protection tops and wetsuits if needed. Straddie Surf School has a wealth of experience in Surfing on the island since the 80’s. Instructors are accredited level 1-2 coaches with Surfing Australia who guarantee that everyone has a great time. If it’s your 1st go on a surfboard you will learn how to glide across the waves & for the keen beginner the skills to become an advance surfer. So come and have a go, all ages are welcome because the best surfer in the water is the one who is enjoying themselves the most!

Do the daily snorkelling & intro scuba diving courses with local dive shops that go in & around the Island. You will have fun swimming with the local turtles (that love people) & all the island’s colourful fish and abundant marine life. This makes North Straddie one of the best places in Oz to snorkel & scuba dive! Choose from the half day snorkel or 1-3 Day Advanced Dive course.

Day 1 Monday

7.am pick up from Transit Centre in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast
Scenic Drive north to Cleveland & onto the Straddie vehicle ferry (approx 2hrs)
Calm Water’ ferry ride over to Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (approx 40min)
A short drive to place of stay at Pt Lookout (the main northern tip of Straddie)
Settle in with a walk or swim before a nice lunch around 12.00pm
1st Surfing lesson or snorkel / dive class
Afternoon chill out or exploration of the island
Big dinner & party on your first night on Nth Stradbroke Island

Day 2 Tuesday

Up & ‘tuck into’ a good, solid, traditional Aussie breakfast
Ready for the 2nd surf / dive / snorkel in & around the island
Then a revitalising lunch after the morning’s ocean adventures
Free time and a chance to discover other activities or sight-seeing on the island
Fill the tank with a delicious dinner, sound sleep & ready to go again next day
